I've only got another

Hello? Anyone there?

Yoohoo.......helllloooooo

Anyone around?

would surprise if there was, Been over a month since I last posted here :(

So, what has the last month been like for me? what exciting things have I done?

Put my name down to do the Relay for life with Jo, It's like the race for life but done as a team...but the main difference is that men can actually take part and do something, unlike the race for life which seems to work on the premise that men are in no way effected by cancer (ok I know thats not true, but it is annoying that I can't take part in one of the largest fund raising events for one of my favourite charities merely because I'm a man)

We also went back to Yo Sushi, only to discover that on a monday it's blue plate special :) so everything is £2.20 a dish which works out a lot cheaper than normal....mmmmm raw fish.

Went to see Dave Gorman at Sheffield City Hall. The man was so funny, I had onlly ever seen him in things like the Googlewhack adventure, or his America Unchained series, so seeing him do stand up was new and refreshing and very very funny indeed.

Also went out on the Saturday for a valentines dinner with my CLI, we went to a steak restaurant in Barnsley and ordered the Chateu Briand - Rare.....mmmmmmmmm

It was delicious, and I've never tried it before ;) so thats a new food to cross off the list. On the subject of food and drink Ihave been working my way through loads of different wines and finding that I like most of them. It was an interesting revelation that wine doesn't always come in a box and taste like rancid cat piss.
lets see, what else. Oooo went exploring Barnsley with Jo and Charlie, found a lovely coffee shop in Barnsley that sells proper coffee, and also a nice little garden thing with an interesting sculpture and waterfall.

On the Sunday myself and Jo went to a historical event in Barnsley, the first live performance for 90 years at the Parkway Cinema. The cinema itself is one of the old fashioned kind, but shows the latest films and is cheaper than the mainstream ones....but this sunday, it was the Comedy Store we went to see. Soooo front row seats (brave I know) and 4 comics, the night was excellent, we laughed and laughed, I got asked my name and what I did for a living, but it seems being a librarian isn't very funny ;). Thankfully the lad sat next to Jo looked a bit wierd and worked in a bakery.....poor lad was the centre of attention. The show wasn't quite sold out, but hopefully everyone had a good time and it will be coming back. If it does Iwill definatley be going again.

Thats pretty much it challenge wise. Other than that I have been applying for a few jobs, no sucess as yet. I've got a course in book form on massage, just need a willing subject to let me practice on them.

I am having problems with the not getting annoyed at others stupidity as I drive on the M1 in rush hour. I did have an incident the other day that at first I thought may help me be more tolerant, but as time has passed it just makes me more aware how difficult it would be. In short an unmarked police car forced me to change lane on a motorway, no blue lights, no idea it was a police car, just another idiot speeding and flashing his headlights cos I was in the way, so I did the obvious thing of giving him the finger as he passed, and then pulled back out.....nothing out of the ordinary.....what was out of the ordinary was the very quick flash of the blue lights. At first i thought eeeek, but now I am more convinced the bloke was an even bigger arse. So how am I supposed to be tolerant of idiots when even the people who are supposed to keep them under control are idiots????? this will be a tricky challenge.

Right I've gone on long enough.

Hopefully I'll be updating this a little bit more in future ;)
